This project I had a ton of fun with. I don't feel as though I use color very often, mostly out of fear that I will somehow ruin a piece if color comes anywhere near it, but this time I decided to change that. I took a risk and decided to splatter my project with the bright pink ink. My inspiration for this piece was an artist by the name of Michael Turchin who does splatter art as well. His pieces are bright and incredibly colorful. I wanted to do something similar to that since I was experimenting with color. This project was very exciting and I'm glad that I challenged myself with using the colors and different mediums of color.

This project is one that I am the most proud of this semester. I was so excited to see it complete and finished. I am extremely happy with how it looks as a whole. I loved doing all the line work, which was also incredibly relaxing. I am pleased with how the wings turned out anatomically, and how detailed they are. I also proud of the subtle details I put into the face and hair. The idea was inspired by the myth of the seraphim, which is an angel with six wings. This piece came at a time where I was struggling with my religion and what type of christianity I felt I best fit into, and this piece helped me funnel my emotions.

As I have stated before I have always had been afraid to use color. Color has always seemed to be my enemy which makes me typically use pencil or pen. But, I really enjoyed this project. I loved figuring out how to make a gray color with the colors I was given. It was difficult to make the colors to not look muddy or brown. My favorite part is of the project is the face, I feel like I really captured what my cat looks like. (And while I was working she would lay right in front of me which was a great reference) I am very proud of this and I can't wait to frame it.

This one was a specific challenge because it was very time consuming (and some bad time management on my part, I'll admit) I usually like to focus on one piece at a time and work until that one is done. But, this one you had to develop over time, which was difficult because you had to come up with a different idea in a different style in each box. It was very difficult so I brushed this one off and focused on the other singular pieces. Though I enjoyed being able to "show off" my skills with female anatomy, which I am not ashamed to say that I am proud I have developed my anatomy skills. It was a lot of fun with each of the different sections, and yes I know one of them is a landscape, but I couldn't do impressionism without a landscape so I came up with the idea of Mother Nature for that square... So in technicality it is still feminine. Overall I am not as happy with this one as I am with the others, but I still like it a lot.
