Wayfair is an online business, which will aid the integration into Walmart.

No additional budget will need to be spent on evaluating the necessity of brick and mortar locations, as there are none. 

There is no need to figure out what a hybrid location between the two would look like. 

However, Wayfair may be able to offer merchandise in Walmart stores. 

This will offer more exposure to their products, as Wayfair customers currently  do not get to see the furniture before purchasing it. 

Thus, there is value for both Wayfair and Walmart in the context of physical and online locations.

There will likely be positions that are found to be redundant during the acquisition. 

However, because Wayfair is well-versed in ecommerce, Walmart will need to retain key talent that can help Walmart achieve the same success.

In past acquisitions, such as that of Alert Innovation, Walmart has maintained necessary personnel to offer a more seamless acquisition. 

By retaining key employees, the two companies will experience better business continuity, as well as a smoother integration experience.
