3rd Annual Conference on Building Anti-Racist Multiracial Community

The stakes have never been higher. As white-centered, authoritarian power deepens its grip on national institutions, the need to build an anti-racist, multiracial future has become urgent—and essential. That’s why we’re coming together for the third annual Conference on Building Anti-Racist Multiracial Community, a virtual gathering of visionaries, practitioners, organizers, scholars, artists, and everyday people committed to collective transformation.

This is not a typical antiracism training. This is a call to action, to imagination, and to building. We are seeking proposals from those doing the work—those in the field, on the ground, creating and nurturing antiracist multiracial communities across all sectors of society.

We invite workshops, artistic performances, keynote speakers, panels, and other creative formats that directly engage the conference theme. We’re especially interested in content that is bold, practical, and rooted in lived experience. What are you learning as you do this work? What’s working? What’s hard? What’s next?

We welcome proposals from across a broad range of sectors: education, organizing, advocacy, faith communities, workplaces, families, government, and beyond. Special attention will be given to proposals that bring in the voices of young people, who are shaping the future of multiracial democracy right now.

Sample Topics Include:

• Strategies and breakthroughs in building multiracial solidarity and shared power

• Challenges facing practitioners and communities committed to this work

• Cultural and artistic approaches to shifting racial consciousness

• Reports on research and organizing models that support multiracial community

• Intersectionality and coalition-building across movements

• Youth-led efforts and intergenerational learning

• Stories of community resilience and multiracial leadership

Proposal Guidelines:

• Sessions should be 45 to 90 minutes in length.

• Include a clear description of the activity and its goals.

• List all presenters, with short bios (150 words max each).

• We regret we cannot offer financial compensation, but we will waive conference registration fees for up to two presenters per session.

Proposal Deadline: July 31, 2025.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged.

Additional Timeline Checkpoints:

• June 15 – Priority consideration for youth-led proposals

• August 15 – Finalized schedule and session confirmations

• September 15 – Presenter tech checks and orientation

• October 1 – Conference program publicly announced
