During the Harlem Renaissance it started at the beginning of the Great Depression. The Harlem Renaissance also helped with major job loss. Due to the fact that WW1 had caused so much loss in jobs, all migrators were free to gain jobs. WW1 would also help many migrators acquire homes in Harlem. As many of the houses were built for white people, but desperate to sell the homes Migrators were free to buy.

The Harlem Renaissance was not only know for its growth of African American culture but the civil impact it had left. The Harlem Renaissance gave people a chance to change peoples rights and be heard. As the Harlem Renaissance broke many racial barriers and established many civil rights. This is the cause of many people grown from the Harlem Renaissance such as Marcus Gravy. Which is why the Harlem Renaissance is one of the greatest golden ages in history.
