SMART goals are always a challenge for me so I'd love if we could tweak this into something realistic and useful. For this phrasing, I'm thinking I'd just measure student participation by having a couple class discussions without the technique, keep track of student participation and a one-or two point rubric to guage the depth of their shares. Then, after using the strategy consistently for a while, I would do a similar discussion after time to think and pair before sharing and capture results for the same categories. 

1. We will use the think-pair-share strategy highlighted by our program-wide professional development as a best practice for College and Career Readiness Standards.
2. We will implement this strategy during the warm-up, independent practice or review parts of the lesson to increase student participation.
3. We will measure baseline results on a pre-test that will be administered by April 14 and post-test by May 19.
4. We will increase student participation by 25% of students.

I thought about using the March 17 date for the earlier date, but with all the unknowns of next week April 14 seemed more realistic!
