1. Gives EPA a lot of power and is costly, "gives the EPA authority to shut down coal fired power plants throughout the country and require wind and solar plants to be built to replace them."
2. companies don’t agree or think it takes a lot for them to cut emissions and standardize performance.
  • "all the companies i deal with are concerned about greenhouse gases and pretty much all of them think that the clean power plan is not a lawful way of doing this"

The power industry objects to this because it lowers production rate and violates the Clean Air Act.  This would also lower jobs that are available in the power industry.

The Clean Power Plan is an executive order issued by Obama requiring states to create clean energy plans to reinforce the new standards on natural gas and coal companies. They also need to build the new energy plants.  Some problems are that the original plants are not paid off but new ones are already being built. Another is that it is an executive order and it was not taken to Congress.
