This stage is part of Jean Piaget's theory of child development. Within this stage children use their senses to learn about their surroundings. This stage is connected to sensory play based on the fact that play is what can help parents bond with their children. Because children are using there senses within sensory play and the sensorimotor stage, both of these recourses help one another.
