The Information wall should contain the following:
-Identify The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics
-Insert possible resources (e.g. images, videos, sound) that would aid people in complying with these rules.
-Address the following questions within this information wall.
Q1. Which of the Ten Ethical Computing Guidelines do you think students violate most often?
Q2. Why do you think these violations occur?
Q3. What do you think could be done to reduce or eliminate such unethical behavior?

Out of the 10 Ethical Computing Guidelines, I believe that 7 and 8 are the most widely violated by students. Whether or not these students intentionally or unintentionally violated, these two guidelines are notorious for the amount of violation in the academic setting.

Most of these violations deal with plagiarism as well as cheating. Students can plagiarize both willingly or unknowingly. Either the student forgets to properly cite the source they are referencing, or they try to write off someone's work as their own. Plagiarism could fall under the guideline of "Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.", as you are using someone else's intellectual work as your own. In the case of cheating, students may use plagiarism as part of their cheating, but they could also utilize a variety of different online resources for tests, schoolwork, etc. For example, if a student were taking an online test, they might use a separate browser to look at the answers, or use a program which can provide them with their answers. In this case, the student would be violating the guideline "Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization or proper compensation." since they do not have permission to utilize them on the test.

Focusing specifically on plagiarism, one of the easiest ways to reduce it from happening would be to teach students how to properly reference and cite sources and others' works. I think the main problem students face with citation and references is their lack of understanding with it, which leads to their plagiarism. If we were to teach these students the finer details and also have them practice with it, then it would become another skill for their academic work, thus avoiding and reducing the amount of plagiarism you see. As for cheating, more education on how to avoid it as well as the consequences that occur from those actions may help, but ultimately this is a more difficult topic to reduce or eliminate.
