i don’t really mind where our threads are, walls, pms, or rooms. i would prefer rooms just to keep the rp active and getting us both some points, but i really don’t mind wherever. i do prefer to plot in group pms and keep any potential triggering or nsfw plots to pms. i also don't use brackets when talking in group pms lol i expect it to be ooc anyway.i would prefer if you came to me with a plot in mind, and i will try and do the same. plotting is usually not too hard for me to do, but sometimes i can get quite stumped. winging is fine, but i am still quite new to it so it can blind-side me a bit ghjfb

i tend to get a little carried away with writing so my replies might be a little long. i like to reply in 3rd pov paragraph style and only do script in chat. i might write a lot but you don’t have to mirror the length, but some effort should be applied to the reply, of course. i am more than happy to do starters, especially if i have a good idea on how to start, but please don’t expect me to do it every time, especially if it doesn’t make sense for me to start.

an ilbon noble family with close connections to the emperor of meiji, comparable to that of being a right-state councillor. their family resides in tennoji-ku, osaka. before the rise of the meiji empire, the family had been loyal to the previous shogunate until their betrayal that helped the emperor rise to power. a family with much political and martial power, though not well-known outside of ilbon. the current duke is known for his light-hearted nature both in the cabinet and in his down time, but his presence still pushes fear into the hearts of many due to his previous military history.

A woman with her conviction more like her mother's rather than her father's, she had married young to an Ilbon Marquess who was set to be Duke. The Tsukino daughters had no problem with getting eyes on them and getting marriage requests, except poor youngest Sayuri. Kanata had always been sympathetic of Sayuri, just as their eldest sister was, knowing the stress all the extra attention brought to Sayuri. The eldest sisters were never truly jealous, since the three of them brought enough attention to go around and frankly, they never wanted the pure worship Sayuri had received— so, their relationship had never suffered because of this. In fact, the reaction had been a surge of protectiveness towards their youngest sister that may have verged on over-protectiveness.

When a man had finally come into Sayuri's life, the sisters were wary of him. They were both married and though their marriages were perhaps not ideal (this depends on what you think), they worried their sister may not have been kept in the safest of hands. This was cemented when the eldest, Aida, had overheard Sayuri speaking to their father and asking to end the proposal. Perhaps this man from Joseon was not a good man, certainly not worthy of Sayuri.

So you and Aida tried to plant seeds of doubt in Sayuri's mind, to leave her husband and go back to Ilbon in the protection of the Tsukino family. She had been convinced to stay, but for reasons that did not seem to be coercion. Perhaps this would have to be good enough.

That is until Kanata's marriage comes to a sudden end, and without much thought, she sets out to meet Sayuri in Joseon, perhaps to stay for a while.

The youngest child of the Tsukinos, who would one day become the Duke. His birth was, in a way, rushed, though no one would ever admit this. After three sisters, the family had been grateful at Renya's birth, the duchy saved and allowing the family to continue on.

Renya isn't very close with his eldest sisters, due to their own closeness with each other and their age gap, but also the fact Renya had spent most of his life training to become Duke and eventually fight in a war that might come. Renya is both spoiled and burdened with responsibility, as any nobleman is, but Renya does not take the responsibility with a frown.

However, Renya is particularly close with Sayuri, due to the fact Sayuri was kept at the estate for most of her life and that she had no friends. Renya was the one who convinced Sayuri to publish her novels, taking the manuscripts to publishers himself. People often theorize her pen name is a man who might be Renya himself, due to the fact he is the one who brought the manuscript.
