In my experience, writing is the Achilles' heel for pupils. Like the present, my pupils are very reluctant to write. Eventually with the A, B classes they are able to produce something worthy of note and progression, but the ones that are challenging are the C and D classes in which getting them to write is an uphill battle. Similarly, I do ask pupils to write simple things like their likes, their goals and about themselves. In the video, a charting tool was used to record pupils' conversation as useful data. When I get into the process, I pairing the students to expand the word into a simple sentence. They shared the ideas as a class. Then gathered the students into a small group. Each groups will discuss the ideas and write them into paragraphs by adding more information and examples. Usually I prefer each group to come out with a paragraph.
