What is the significance of this scene?-
The significance of this scene is to show that whatever happens, they are going to stick up for each other even if they are dead. For instance, on the book on page 171, it says "You get back in your car or I'll split it" this means that when the Socs said something about Pony and reminded him of his past Pony decided to not let that slide and speak up for himself. The author includes this to show readers that if someone is getting talked about bully in any way they should speak up and not let it happen.
