We all came back with a look at different themes such as androgyny, activism through fashion, how it started - how its going etc. but struggled to agree on one solid topic
We made progress in terms of understanding each others’ strengths and weaknesses better along with comfort levels with different mediums
We had some great ideas but given the social distancing rules and geographical barriers, the successful execution of them seemed difficult
Plan for next meeting - research more themes and separately come up with a plan for the theme and its deliverables - present ideas and pick one or combine ideas.

We started the meeting talking about the things each of us focused on - deliverables, brief and the theme.
Amelia presented her document with the research she had done about various themes, Rutuja proposed her plan of an interactive magazine with filters, I spoke about the keywords in the brief and Rachana presented her ideas of a 360 film and research into different themes
We collectively agreed to go ahead with the theme of technology, specifically, immersive technology as other themes such as androgyny and sustainability have been discussed previously
We felt that technology had much more scope in terms of the contribution we could make
In terms of deliverables, we had a divided opinion; Rachana and I were keen on experimenting with a film/video whereas Rutuja and Amelia felt that they would be able to contribute better to an interactive magazine
We therefore decided to divide ourselves into 2 teams - Me and Rachana on the film and Rutuja and Amelia on the magazine.
We decided that we would as a team use the same set of videos as reference for our deliverables and focus on ‘immersive technology’ for both.
I personally feel that given the opportunity, I really want to push myself to try something different - although, given that I am doing this course remotely, my ability to contribute to the actual filming would be limited. Therefore, I will take the lead on the pre-production and research aspect of the film whereas Rachana would take the lead on filming and post-production.
In order to enhance our knowledge - we are both attending the 360 film workshop by DLL on the 23rd
We’ve also set ourselves the deadline of 2nd December to organise the arrangements for the video - equipment, film and production crew - if we aren’t able to make these arrangements, we will all just produce one deliverable and collaborate on it together

After a further discussion, me and Rachana questioned the feasibility of doing a film
We therefore set up a meeting with Alison to discuss our doubts and get her opinion
She suggested for us to film ‘clips’ instead of a film and use those to compliment the articles in the magazine
She also emphasised that the focus of the unit was on collaboration as opposed to end product

We divided up the shows recommended by Tara and each of us watched 4-5 shows
Rachana and I didn’t think that any of the shows we watched could be used
Rutuja suggested the Issey Miyake show and Amelia suggested the Hussein Chalayan shows
We all watched these shows and agreed upon the deliverable; Film/AR filter/Essay
I volunteered to give a hand for any of the tasks as compared to the rest, I have a much smaller role which is to conceptualise the films
Rachana mentioned that she would only be able to start on the project a little later due to her deadlines - the rest of us had no problems with that as it still fit our decided deadlines for the challenge
Me and Rachana decided to have another meeting soon after to start planning the films.

We discussed our progress with Tara and Alison - although we didn’t have anything concrete in terms of deliverables available to show, we could all clearly discuss our ideas and plans for each deliverables
They were quite pleased with our plans
