something that i think is a good puzzle piece in the novel is how much allowance each of the boys are paid. both boys amir and Hassan are given 10 afghanis even though amir is babas real son and Hassan is not.

I wonder what the males in this stories lives would have been different if both mothers hadn’t gone away. I think that amir would be more loving and caring and I think Hassan would stand up for himself more.

chapter 1 I think that we haven’t seen much sign of development in young amir yet but if you go back too the start of the story when older amir is talking you can tell that he has changed and has grown too feel empathy for Hassan

Amirs house was very nice with marble floors and windows, intricate mosaic tile covered all four bathrooms floors gold stiched tapestries, crystal chandelier. living room had curved walls with custom built cabinets that held family photos. too long rows of cherry trees when going out back terrace

Hassans house was more of a mud hut with one door on the front and a window on the outside. the inside wasnt much more interesting, it had two beds on opposite sides of the room. it had a table a two chairs and one single tapestry that said "ALLUH ALLAKBAR"
