Even though we had a lecture about this during our first week of the fashion week, I feel as though this didn’t help us at all as we were just shown methods rather than doing them ourselves. 
I think we can benefit from having more self promotion seminars & only having one tutorial a week. I feel as if we need more support on self promo and summative.
It’s also as if they are testing new ideas things on us all the time to see if they will work within the course, rather than having a structured idea. Also think that some of the sessions just seem a bit pointless... particularly some self promo ones. I think group projects should be better considered for if something goes wrong as we shouldn’t have to be staying up working till the late ours of the night to pick up the slack. Emails are very rarely replied to which isn’t good and seems like projects are just thrown together . Also why is Tokyo so much more expensive than last years trip to Tokyo

Another issue is that we constantly get conflicting advice from tutors and are never sure who to believe to get the good grades. It would be good if IT sessions taught us more about indesign and especially illustrator as we’ve never been shown the basics of how to use it and a lot of job descriptions have it in their requirements so clearly it’s a useful skill. Lecturers aren’t able to communicate with each other well - creating confusion as every one of them has a different thing to say. The Tokyo trip is not affordable to any normal student. Working students aren’t even considered on this course. From my perspective I believe that we should not have to work with the same teams for trend project, colour film and the big film project. My group did not work well together from the very start which ended with a really bad grade and problems with communication. There’s no theory, there’s no explaining of things, I feel like 85% of the time in this course we just look at pretty images. The self promo sessions were pointless, still don’t know what I’m supposed to do with my sketchbook and the tutors are very bad at explaining things. The Tokyo trip is INSANELY expensive, you could go by yourself for 12 days for half the price..
