He went from being Alexander Hamilton's idols and mentors, to being the person who ended up killing Hamilton, all out of jealousy and anger. Aaron was Alexanders friend and gave him guidance during the war and in politics, but when Alexander started to gain more popularity and respect, he started to rise above Aaron Burr in the political world. This made Aaron jealous that although he was the one who gave Alexander advice and has been a friend all of these years, Alexander wasn't loyal back. For example, when he lived in the Caribbean island St. Croix, a hurricane struck in 1772. This was a major external conflict with Hamilton because he had to fight to survive that. Another external conflict is him losing his mother to sickness and his father leaving, making him an orphan.

 An internal conflict in Hamilton's life is his ability to not "shut up". He literally writes about every single little thing that happens in his life, and makes it a lot more than it should be. He does talk about how Eliza lived 50 more years after her husbands death and how she spreads knowledge about what Alexander achieved being the first secretary of treasury and being a general of the US Army and other things he had done to sort of get rid of the impact The Reynolds Pamphlet left on his legacy, which is great. I just wish he talked about their children and how they ended up without their father and who they grew up to become. I really wish there was more about Phillip Hamilton, the eldest son who died in a duel defending his fathers honor. (Crazy, right? They had GUN DUELS back then.) I want to know more about how he graduated from Kings College, now Columbia University, what he got his degree in, what he was interested in, etc.; because it seemed like Phillip's was a major aspect in how Hamilton was very depressed at the end of his life.
