What things are you now able to express in Spanish that you have learned in Spanish II (concepts)? (in English)

After taking this online Spanish II course, I am now able to express many more things in the Spanish language. Things including people, places, items, activities, etc. Before coming into this online Spanish II class, I didn’t know any Spanish because I never learned much in Spanish I. The resources weren’t there like they were provided in this online class. The unit 1 review is definitely what help me the most in this course. The links provided helped catch me up and get back on track. We have learned things in this online class such as preterite tense, past tense, imperfect tense, to past and present progressive. I really enjoyed taking this class online because I was able to go on my own pace while still having due dates and getting things done and turned in on time without having to stress out about them.

Eran tan agradables.

What differences have you seen between the Spanish language and your native language? (in English)

There are many differences between the English and Spanish language. For example, Spanish nouns have a gender, el for masculine and la for feminine. Also, capitalization and punctuation are two main things as well. In English, there is only punctuation at the end of a sentence. In Spanish, when asking a question or making an exciting statement, there is punctuation in the beginning of the sentence AND at the end. Days of the week, months of the year, and languages aren’t capitalized in the Spanish language.

I honestly thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Spanish culture. It was very neat learning the different ways of life that people across the world live on a day-to-day basis. I, of course, love food. So that was definitely one of my favorite things to learn about. If I ever traveled to Spain, it would be a MUST to try if not all, most of the food there. Also, the most exciting topic to me was the sights of Spain. I love traveling, and Spain has some of the best views from what I’ve seen and learned in this course. It would definitely be amazing getting an opportunity to travel to Spain.

At North Carolina Wesleyan College, close to half of the school is foreign, or, from a different country so I will have every chance possible to take up this opportunity.

One thing I really enjoyed about this online class was the pace of it. I’ve taken two classes previous to this Spanish II course online, those being Forensic Science and English, and neither one of them had as good of a pace as this class offered me. We had several assignments due, but they were due every Friday which made me have the ability to space out my work and know what I was going to complete and on what day. Also, in the classroom, the teachers don’t provide the feedback like you, my online teacher did.

One thing that I really liked about this course was that I was always able to go at my own pace. In the classroom, I also ran into the issue of finishing my work to early because I would like to get my stuff done and not risk losing my work on paper. The best thing to me about this specific online class (Spanish II) was that the weekly work was not due until every Friday @ 11:59. That gave me the perfect opportunity to apply myself and work without rushing on a daily basis. The one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the fact the the live classes were required. Although there were multiple of them provided per unit, it was hard timing wise to work around your schedule especially with this being an online class as it is.
