You can succeed without help. Trust yourself. That photo was taken on the 10th of January 2020, my second day in Canada, while I was waiting to talk to my prospective supervisor. This was my first time at the UofT Civil and Mineral Engineering Department. This day was important for me because my purpose to do is my Master of Science. In different countries, you may feel like a stranger in this culture. You may not feel confident because you are a second language learner but the important thing is that if you never try, you will never know.

Topic: Does the internet bring more harm than its benefits?

No doubt that the Internet can No doubt that the Internet can be a useful tool for young people. My friends talked about its benefits and how it can be helpful for educational purposes. I am indeed to agree with them to some extent; however, the Internet was created for military purposes and if something's starting point is related to the country's military purposes it can not be peaceful so we can say that its roots are harmful. According to Katharine Kam, the New York Times writer, "The Internet brings more harm than good". She categorizes its harmful effects in 4 fields. They are "Cyberbullying", "Sexual predators", "Pornography" and "Damaged Reputation". For example, hateful messages, harmful games, and adult-only content can be very dangerous and inappropriate for adolescents and children. As my friends mentioned, some young adults can lose their lives because of the Internet's harmful attributes.
