My ultimate academic goals are to continue through this program and achieve my BS in Education, move on to a MS in Educational Administration, and finally my PhD in Educational Leadership and hopefully run for office someday similar to Denise Juneau’s professional journey. I also hope to curb the high dropout rates on reservations and introduce a native pedagogy that helps engage our student body, which is majority Native American students. I am a head teacher, this is my first year teaching my own pre school class.  I love my job, working with young children & knowing that I am helping shape them for their futures is an incredible feeling. 

I recently got married in September of 2020, it was in true COVID fashion, the band & hairdresser cancelled the day before. But, in the end it turned out beautiful & a true day of my dreams. I have two beautiful boys, Karver & Kaydin, four & nine months. They are always keeping em on my toes, and that is not just a figure of speech anymore. Being a boy mom is messy, wild, but so full of love. I could not imagine my life without my boys, they have shaped my into who I am today, with out a doubt.

I live on my family ranch that my dad owns, & my husband & I run. I enjoy the ranch, it is my true passion. I have always wanted to live on & help run the ranch. But, I knew that my passion for teaching children was always going to be what I wanted to pursue. I am thankful that I get to raise my kids in my childhood home & pursue both of my life long dreams. 

I am very excited for this semester & to expand my knowledge & experience. So here's to a great semester & a wonderful course.
