During Tuesday's Masked Reader story, Petite Rouge A Cajun Red Riding Hood, my kids laughed every time they heard the word boudin. At the end of the story, we talked about what we thought the word meant based on the story. We also looked up the word so we could better understand what it was and how to pronounce it.

When I told them about this activity, I thought they might choose a math word since we are learning about the coordinate system this week. We have learned lots of new math vocabulary, such as ordered pair, grid, axis, and origin. But when I asked what new word they wanted to share, it was unanimous....boudin! :)
