Do you think that teachers should use games in the classroom to help with the lesson?

Yes! Games are a great way to assist with lessons and to get the students interested. Young students especially need creative ways to stimulate their brains and keep them interested in learning the concept at hand. When the soul focus of "learning" and "school" can be taken away from students thoughts with an educational game, kids will be more interested in learning and forget that they are actually doing school. Students also like competition, and many games, such as math games, can give them that fun competition they are looking for, even if it just means beating their high score or next level. Some games can also help explain a concept in a way that a child will understand it better than just doing class work.

Games are a great way to get students involved with the lesson and motivated to learn. Especially if you are teaching younger children, they need more to stimulate their mind than just the teacher at the front of the room talking. I know that you can't incorporate games into every lesson, but I believe it is important to do it as often as you can, because your students will also remember the material better if they enjoyed learning.
