He is immediately sent on a quest with his best friend Grover and a girl called Annabeth to find Zeus's stolen lightning bolt to stop a war against his father Poseidon, and the King of the Cosmos, Zeus. He faces legendary monsters such as Medusa and the Minotaur, and even gods like Ares and Hades. He faces betrayals from fellow campers from Camp Half Blood. Percy didn't come to fetch the lightning bolt, but to save his mom, who is currently in Hades' hands. But finally, Percy has to make a decision.
