This Padlet was used as a quick exit ticket allowing students to share their big take-away from the day. (Disclaimer-- This was the first time this 3rd grade class ever did this, so their responses were lacking. As we did it more, they got better at detailing their learning in the exit ticket.)

First grade students worked on this Padlet each morning of the week for morning work. It helped them build background for the story they would read that week in their basal, provided additional phonics skill practice, and allowed them to think critically. (Teacher turned on "Moderate Posts" so that students couldn't see each other's answers until the end of the week.)

As part of their economy PBL in which students had to get a loan and start their own pizza business, groups of students brainstormed everything they would want in a pizza place. Then as a class, the teacher led a discussion in which they categorized all of the items they had brainstormed. These categories became items on the grading rubric for the project.
