College out reach. I heard about Matriculate via an email from Smith College - which is only 30 minutes away from us. It felt less like an ad for an organization/program as a result.

Public School / Rural Counselor Outreach

We know that students at either a) the largest public high schools, and/or b) rural public high schools, are often the students least likely to receive intentional, individualized post-secondary guidance. Strategizing our outreach to high population density areas as well as the most rural areas in untapped states is critical

As much as we can, find students who have gone through the high school fellow program, and feature their stories / experiences (primarily in-person if possible, but also through recorded videos, digital publications)

This might be a bit tangential, but I listen to a few college access podcasts-one in particular is called Your College Bound Kid. Hearing the main host, Mark, interview vetted programs and/or highlight organizations as a resource for students and families could be great. A know other counselors who find resources that way as well. Also the NYC DOE's College Access Committee (I need to find the actual name) pushes out many resources that I've been able to use and am always looking for more. Many of my colleagues at other schools do this also.

Find alumni of the high school fellow program who attended nearby schools / are from the nearby region, and use their stories to inspire participation from other schools/states in the region
