I had tried it a second time without adding more paint and then I had traced over a new image lightly by standing up over the image drawing.
This time it had worked perfectly and I had gotten little details in to show where the fox was sitting and to show character within the face. I think the green contrasts more with the brown and orange background and actually fits in with the theme as red foxes are like an orange or ginger with brown hinted within the fur and the green is a representation of nature and growth.

I had started on a new set of images and created watercolour washes and textured backgrounds on photo copy paper.
I then grabbed the fox image shown on the left here and then I had began with mono printing. I had rolled out some green and white onto the plastic board and then I had started to mix it to make a lighter green and rolled it out very thin.
then I had lightly placed the paper on top and taped the image to the top and traced over lightly in most places and then lifted it.
However, it did not print as well but can not figure out why it had gotten all smudged as I did not lean on it or move the paper.

This was the first print I had done which was foam printing. I had found 3 images some secondary some primary.
I then carved and traced them into the foam and then rolled out orange and red to create a crimson kind of colour. when I had printed the image though, it hadnt went well.
This is because the paper I had used was really thick and was not flat enough to print on. I wanted it crinkled slightly to try and get a nice textural effect but it did not make the print show.

This was another mono print I had done to practice on. This was a primary image of an owl sculpture from the biscuit factory by Simon Griffiths.
I had used orange as the light brown wings of the sculpture reminded me of vibrancy and light colours.
I had crosshatched the shading spots as a new but fast way to shade and tried getting little details in the wings for texture, which worked well in my favor.

This image was a secondary image of a very rare black fox.
The eyes and the black fur reminded me of a deep purple and orange. So I had rolled out them two colours together and done another mono print which smudged around the face but I think that works a little bit because it creates a natural sense of printing and makes it more abstract and hidden and makes the fox's stance stand out.

This was my final print in which I thought was very successful. The colour reminded me of danger and loss, like the loss of the fox's habitat and natural way of living. the flowers were primary images and the fox was a secondary image. the lines printed well as I rolled the paint out thinner and took my time without touching the paper.

This was another mono print I had made. you can just make out the lines of the legs of the fox and the ears and chest. but I like it because it is abstract and the colours contrast well. It reminds me of graffiti on a city wall. This would have been a great idea for my development work as graffiti is mostly created in cities and red foxes are now becoming urban and it would have really inspired me to do a graffiti piece revolved around the growth of population and destruction ( the graffiti ) and loss of their natural habitat.
