First i will be comparing Japan and Nigeria, because Japan has a really high dependency load for 65 and older, like 12.4% for 14 and under while it has 28.8% for 65 and older. And Nigeria has a really high dependency load for 14 and under, like 43.3% for 14 and under while it has 2.9% for 65 and older. And Canada has more of a in between stats, like 15.8% for 14 and under while it has 18.5% for 65 and older. The highest birth rate for Nigeria is 16.3%, for Canada is 5.3%, and for Japan is 3.7%. The life expectancy, females and males in Canada could live up to 95-99. Females in Japan could live up to 100+, and males could live up to 95-99. Females and males could live up to 80-84 in Nigeria.

Canada's population is ageing because of longer life expectancy and war, the people that were in WWII are now in the retirement age, and people now are thinking that they don't want babies because of how much it costs to raise babies, and people are too busy in work that they don't have time to raise a child. And another reason why the population is ageing is that people in 1940-1960 wanted to have lots of babies and at one point the fertility rate was 3 babies per woman. And people are living longer because of health care. And the downside of having an ageing population is that there will be a low fertility rate, and a declining labour force.

Japan's population is aged because the overall population is shrinking due to low fertility rates, and the ageing population is increasing rapidly. And there are a lot more reasons like people wanting to have smaller families, people being too focused on working and not having time for babies, and because of migration restrictions, people have fewer options to rebuild a family elsewhere. People are also living longer because of education and health care. The health care in Japan is really great and people's diets are healthy, and that is one of the reasons why Japan has a really high life expectancy.

Nigeria has a young population because the education in Nigeria is very poor and the health care is really bad so that caused people to suffer from a disease that no one could cure. As well to the birth rate in Nigeria being really high, the population has been increasing for the past five decades and quadrupling. And most of the women in Nigeria want to have an early marriage. The baby population exploded because of mainly in culture because Nigeria is a Muslim religion country and in their culture having a baby is like a blessing but Nigeria is a poor country, so it is difficult to raise a baby. And in their eyes having a baby is a status symbol, and in their mind, they think that having more babies is a retirement plan because they think that the baby would grow up and make money for them but in reality, most of them won't make it to adult hood, and to get more food Nigeria needs to import more food but Nigeria is a poor country so it is hard to get more food.

We should care about this because this is a really big issue. The government is going to run out of people that work at the retirement home, and in order to get people to work there, the government needs money. And since the population is ageing there will be fewer youth in this country so the only other way to get more kids into the country is immigrants which Canada is doing now. One way to fix this is to encourage people to have babies and give people who have babies money because raising a baby is not cheap and people are too concentrated on working.

One problem with Japan's population aged is that there are not enough men to work which makes leads to a shortage of qualified workers, and there will not be anyone that can take care of the younger population. And there will be a higher demand for health care because there are a lot more older people, so the price of health care will go up. So one reason to prevent this is make Japan a more cultural country so people would more to japan to make families there so there would be more people to make babies and lower the ageing population.

We need to care about this because thousands of children died because of young population, there are not enough people to take care of children's. And the younger generation needs to be educated, if almost everyone is youth no one are capable of teaching. And because of everyone doesn't have the education requirement to be a doctor no one could cure illness. Also because there are a lot of children they need to feed the children which require a lot of food considered half of the population is child. One way to solve this problem is making medicines for common illness or just make a better health care system.
