After watching a TED Talk video of Matt Cutts, there are some changes in a way of setting my challenges and goals for myself. Firstly, as he mentioned in the video, I find it reasonable to plan goals and challenges in monthly period. In one month, I can see more changes in things I am doing and used to do. Secondly, it helps better with what a person is trying to achieve over a period of time with self-improvement as an advantage of it. For example, within 30 days, if I am planning to get fit with a proper exercise schedule, I can see the result or changes on the 30th day. Moreover, if I plan to work on my communicating skills with people in a month, I will be able to feel confident in talking to people or make new friends. In addition, with that 30 day of setting challenges and goals, I can see myself feeling more satisfied with my own achievements in life, improve my skills and mental health in many ways. In conclusion, I would consider on changing my goals planning from setting for long-term to short-term and I suggest everyone to do so as well.

Through this TED talk video, I think I need to improve my goal setting plan in the past.In the short or long term, setting yourself some kind of challenge is a better way to do things, make it a way of life or achieve a goal.Through the efforts of the 30 days, I can make this period more unforgettable and make it a habit or a way of life for me.This will make it easier for me to achieve the goals I set for myself. For example, I choose to practice a skill during these 30 days. After these 30 days, I can recall the whole process from not being familiar with this skill to being familiar with it.At the same time, it also enriched my life, not only enabled me to learn a new skill, but also made me feel a sense of achievement after completing this project. In the rest of my life, I will set myself small goals with different deadlines.

Matt's video was a huge inspiration to me. Setting proper goals can help us improve our efficiency and quality of life. First of all, in the process of achieving our goals, we will be more likely to remember the wonderful moments in our life.Secondly, when we move step by step towards our goals and constantly solve the obstacles, our own confidence is also strengthened, which helps us to achieve the larger goals. Moreover, when we consistently achieve small goals, our willpower increases, which helps us become more determined. For example, when I run consistently for a month, and when I set a goal of going to the gym for an hour for a month, I have more motivation to achieve it. Finally, I think the success of a goal requires clear planning and persistence.

The TED speaker mentioned 30 days to add a habit. As long as you persist in doing one thing for 30 days, you will have a different change. I think no matter how small, habits are very important to us. For example, if you run 3km every day, you will feel comfortable facing the half marathon after one month. Therefore planned habit is very significant to us.

For students who are currently on level 5, it may be a good habit to practice speaking English every day. If each of us can persist in practicing English with others every day, I believe that one month later, you will definitely be closer to English than you were a month ago. In addition, we can continue to read every day. After all, books are the ladder of human progress. Reading for half an hour or an hour every day, we will probably read one or two books in a month. Therefore, everyone should have their own goals to cultivate their own habits.

After watching the video of Matt, then I have learned how to set reasonable challenges and goals for myself. Firstly, People can be developed a new habit in 30 days. For example when people keep doing the same thing for 30 days, then on the 31st day you will do that same thing, so that thing becomes your habit. Secondly, I learned that sustainable changes that I can keep making, are more likely to stick. In addition, The 30-day experience will enrich your life and increase your self-confidence. Consequently, Everyone should try to set a challenge or goal for themselves to do something you've always wanted to try, and your life will be different.

After watching Matt Cutter’s Ted speech,I found it very important to form a good habit for us. First of all, goals make time more memorable, let numbers stimulate people to achieve goals, and can feel certain changes every day. Then,When people achieve a small goal, they can improve their self-confidence.Therefore,in the next 30 days,I will try to achieve a goal of reading books daily. As a student, I have enough free time in a day. I don't want to waste my time watching TV and playing games. Reading books can make use of my spare time and make my life more meaningful.Through reading, I can accumulate some knowledge and expand my knowledge. Before going to bed every day, I will put my mobile phone on the table to make reading books the premise of my sleep. I will also mark some good sentences with post-it-notes, which is a very enjoyable thing for me.When I finished these 30 days, I formed a good habit of reading and improved my reading comprehension. In the end,a goal can better urge our life, whether short-term or long-term, which can help us achieve our ideals or dreams more quickly.

Firstly, take 30 days to complete the challenge or goal, as 30 days is the right time to add a new habit or reduce one.For example, spend 30 days getting into the habit of running in the morning, which is a healthier way of living.Secondly, the changes made should be small and sustainable, as this is more likely to stick. For example, making it a goal to read six books, which might take two hours a day to devote to reading, is a sustainable change. In short, make up your mind to do something and stick to it for 30 days, it will make the time more memorable.

After watching the TED Talk video of Matt Cutts, I start to think about challenges and goals. I used to think that a goal must be a long-term goal. However, maybe setting proper short-term goals is more reasonable, because short term goals often mean fewer challenges, and if the goal is within reach, it will have more motivation for me. For example, a 30 days goal is very suitable for me. I have made a plan to go to the gym every two days in the 30 days period. Through 30 days of efforts，I can make myself more healthy and at the same time，lose some weight.Furthermore，reaching small goals constantly can help us build confidence，which means when we are faced with other challenges，we may have more courages. Last but least, people always need goals, that is life meaning.
