         <title>The American Dental Association Seal of Acceptance</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Julia Faigel, DMD, leverages her experience as a dentist as the owner and clinical director of the Boston-based Dr. Dental. In this capacity, she oversees regulatory compliance, safety, and standards of care. A dentist registered in four states, Dr. Julia Faigel is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA). <br><br>In 1931, the ADA began its “Seal of Acceptance” program, providing endorsement for dental products that meet the organization’s guidelines for safety and efficacy. According to the ADA, more than 200 over-the-counter products currently carry their Seal of Acceptance. <br><br>To qualify for the seal, a product must go through clinical and/or laboratory studies to confirm the product’s safety and effectiveness. Once earned, a seal is good for five years, provided that the composition of the product does not change in that period. <br><br>Every product approved for the seal must carry the seal’s logo on its packaging.
