Elijah McCoy  was famous because he was a black inventor. At first nobody wanted to buy inventions from a black man, but then they realized how helpful, and useful his oil cup could be! He also invented the first portable ironing board, the lawn sprinkler too! When Elijah McCoy died in 1929, there was a street named after him beside his home. I thought Elijah was interesting!! Harriet came bake 19 times and saved 300 people from slavery people even now she was free. Harriet Tubman died when 93.Next she saved her dad and mom they were 70 so they coaude not run but she went by a wagon and there was a horse. harriet put them into a wagon and covered them with a blanket.
