         <title>Growing up healthy</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Teach children that making healthy choices, keeps their bodies healthy.</li><li>Show fun ways to incorporate healthy foods onto plates, like "eating the rainbow". That ensures a fun way to get a variety of healthy foods.&nbsp;</li><li>Introducing the benefits of physical fitness, and providing opportunities to incorporate physical fitness into everyday activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Educate students on the importance of oral health and even include them in lessons. Have a dental week and learn about teeth, and how to properly care for them.&nbsp;</li><li>Talk about prevention of illness and proper hand washing techniques.</li><li>Teach students about first aid, and how to do basic wound care.</li><li>Teach students about harmful things for our bodies. Some things may be advertised and seem fine, but they can be very unhealthy.</li><li>Discuss personal body boundaries and the difference between good and bad touching, and how to say “no” and tell a trusted adult about bad touching. &nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Differences in development</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There is a large spectrum in differences in development. Any concerns should be relayed to a parent to by discussed with a doctor, nurse, or health provider. <br><br>If you feel your student/ child is struggling in an area, you can request a special education evaluation. A written request by the parent and teacher must be submitted and then the student will be evaluated by a qualified professional. After the evaluation has been done, there will be a meeting to discuss the observations and then see if there is a need for support and develop a plan from there.&nbsp;<br><br>If you feel your student/child is highly capable, then information for district resources can be requested. <br><br></div>]]></description>
