During lockdown in December i started up my own online clothing brand 'La Mode Couture' and decided i wanted to focus my inp on my brand to develop it in real life as well as bringing it into my collage work. For the concept i decided to focus on the idea of a collaboration for Autumn Winter 21, focusing on a upcycled range with the main focus being upcycled jackets and then pieces to go with them using vintage pieces and recycled fabric and materials. 
I decided to focus on an upcycled range as the sustainable fashion industry has become a main growing part of the industry and is a massive factor for people when buying in the industry. My brand LMC does not have a sustainable range at the moment i just work on a supply and demand base so there is no overstock and only buy in when i know they will sell, therefore this will be a great next step for the brand.

Even though my brand is online only i still need to compare it to competitor high street brands such as Zara, Bershka, Primark... As i want my brand to grow to a level that is similar to the highstreet stores that do well online as well. To do this research i went to Oxford street to go around the stores, i visited Zara to see the layout of the store and to see how customers shop, i asked a few of the other customers if they prefer to shop online or in store and the majaority said online. They said online as it is quicker and easier to go online and purchase something that will arrive at your house instead of finding the time to go out into the shops. There is also a bigger selection of clothing online than in the stores.
