The soundtrack consists of, for example, Argentinian, Mexican and African-American and American composers. On one hand it displays his love for jazz and swing music. On the other hand, the songs of Gustavo Santaolalla portray Sal (Jack"s) state of mind and mood at certain times during the Beat generation period.
