Overall, we can see that Jonas is nervous and curious about his assignment, and his concern over how it will impact him.

Some good music that represents his traits is The Imitation Game Soundtrack. This seems like a nice song that fits Jonas’ traits. It has the right amount of suspense that echoes his tense anticipation for his assignment, while at the same time, it’s not too suspenseful, but creates a curious, slightly nervous atmosphere that shows his feelings at the beginning throughout Chapter 2.

SPEECH: Jonas is mindful. Jonas is very careful with his language. One time, when Asher made a mistake, Jonas yelled out “That’s it, Asher! You’re released!” Jonas was then talked to by the coach about the consequences of the joke. Jonas then thinks before he speaks, showing me he is “very demure, very mindful” of his words. Jonas also gets to school on time, showing me that he is mindful of time and school.

TREATMENT: Jonas is respectful to people. People seem to be comfortable around Jonas. For example, when Jonas walked into the Nurturing Center, the attendant at the front desk welcomed him, and seemed to have known who he was. As Jonas walks to the bathing room, he is greeted by a Caretaker and an Old. People seem to be comfortable and welcoming to Jonas. Jonas also has a bestie named Asher. Asher and Jonas are great friends, showing me that Jonas is a likeable person. When Jonas washed Larissa the Old, he was kind and mindful of her. Larissa felt very trusting and comfortable of Jonas, showing that Jonas is a respectful and safe person to be around.

THOUGHTS: Jonas is thoughtful. Whenever he discovers something, he doesn’t just let it slide. He thinks deeply about the topic. For example, the weird apple. When he discovered the weird thing about the apple, he decided to further discover more about the apple in his room. Jonas also thinks about one of the most important events of his life, the Ceremony of Twelve. He worries and thinks about his future. This shows me that Jonas is a very thoughtful person, and what I mean by that is that he thinks many thoughts.

APPEARANCE: According to chapter 3, page 25, Lily makes a comment about Jonas’s “light eyes.” This tells me Jonas has light colored eyes. The book describes how dark eyes were more common than light eyes. So, Jonas’s eyes weren’t as common.

I think and believe that Jonas's characteristics are curiosity, caring, fearful, anxious, and Unique. I feel like Jonas is a deep thinker and has a curiosity because for example, the apple thing, he thought about that deeply unlike other people. At first, I thought Jonas was just an ordinary boy but after reading the first few chapters I found out no only he is a deep thinker and a very caring person. This is because he was caring to Asher about his job is. He is also apprehensive by also being a deep thinker.

The first character trait that I am going to talk about is Jonas being Caring and worrying for others. In the text, we can see that when he and his parent start to talk about assignments Jonas thinks about Asher and his assignment Jonas worries that Asher might not get an assignment as Asher always makes a game out of every single thing, but his parents comfort him by saying that elders always know what assignment to give.

The next character trait of Jonas was a great thinker. He is a great thinker because through chapters 1-5 he has thought of many past times and events in great detail explaining and thinking back to what happened very precisely. One example of this in the text is that In the first chapter, he thought about the situation when the pilot accidentally flew over the society and was then said to be released. In the situation, he clearly thought back and explained everything that happened in the situation super clearly. So overall with this, we can see that Jonas is a very good thinker in general, and is one of his great character traits.

One of the final character traits that I will talk about is him being apprehensive. In the text, he kept on thinking about the ceremony and did not know how to describe the specific emotion that he was having about the ceremony so after he figured out that he was eager and nervous he figured out the he was apprehensive about the ceremony. With this characteristic we can see how he is feeling about the ceremony as we can see that he is not only nervous he is also eager for the ceremony. This was one of his main characteristics in chapters 1-5.

To conclude these are the main characteristic I saw that Jonas showed in chapters 1-5.

• With this piece of dialogue from Jonas we can see that jonas cares about others and what will happen to them as he worries to what ashers assignment will be 

• Jonas does not talk much and is not very social as he only mostly only thinks to himself about his past times and events that happened. As through the chapters of 1-5 he only talks to himself as he thinks about many thinks. He is still respected by others. 

• “Jonas felt miserable. Just when the ceremony was about to happen, his ceremony of twelve would he have to go away someplace for treatment? Jut because of a stupid dream.”

• After this piece of evidence, we can see that Jonas is very cautious and cares about his future adult life as we can see that he cares about his adult life and assignment as he never want to miss out on the ceremony of twelve.

• Jonas had pale blue eyes and he also wore a tunic not much is given on his apperance 

• “But there were a few exceptions, Jonas himself..”

With his pale blue eyes he is also one of the expectations so he has a rare trait.
