This gives people the hope that if they work hard enough they can achieve. I believe that over time, instead of having a broad dream for everyone in the United States, it has all become unique to each person. This is because not all people have the same dreams. People come from all over and start from different places, so their American Dream is different from someone else. Everyone should have an idea of their own American Dream as something to look forward to and push them to work hard. My American Dream is being able to have my own family, own my own house, and have enough money to support my family.

The American Dream to him meant the ability to have the traditional expectations of: family, home,and being able to afford it all. This is something that was very important to achieve for him. The person who influenced his American Dream was his dad. His dad established these values at a young age and seeing his dad go through all of this and become so successful, is something he wanted to do too. When I asked if the American Dream is realistic to achieve, he answered yes. This is because he has done. In order to achieve it however, you have to be persistent. The intended purpose behind the text is to encourage people to word hard, especially people who start with nothing. Tupac explains this point by saying, “it learned 2 walk without having feet” When you are given those circumstances, some people decide that it is too hard and give up. Tupac’s poem is trying to reassure people that hard work does pay off and that you are able to achieve anything you put your mind to no matter where you came from. He conveys this message by using a rose surviving in a hostile situation, in the cracks of concrete, compared to where it usually grows.

The motif behind the song the Empire State of Mind is to tell people to follow their dreams. It doesn't matter where they start, or who they are in this world. Jay Z expresses this by talking about his past life and compares it to the success he has now. In the song Jay-Z explains hows even though he got out of a bad place and moved onto a successful life, he never forgot where he came from, "Yeah, I’m out that Brooklyn, now I’m down in Tribeca Right next to De Niro, but I’ll be hood forever." The song also says, "These streets will make you feel brand-new(new) Big lights will inspire you(come on)." Being in that environment where everyone is
working to be the best they can be, can inspire others. Seeing others getting jobs, working hard, and accomplishing their dreams, makes you want to do the same.

It is a movie about Venus and Serena Williams, and the way they lived their life. Their dad explains how before they were even born, they had a plan on how they both would become tennis champions. With all of his children, him and his wife, set a plan and how they would be able to achieve. All of the obstacles in the road only made them work harder. They knew the time effort and strength that would have to go into their dream, and were willing to put their all into it. She decided that she was going to live her life and achieve her dreams. In chapter 24, she explains, "I looked at the ocean, and I realized there was no need to be afraid. I had gotten this far, despite everything." The amount of trauma did not hold her back from accomplishing all of her goals. Despite this, there were 1.4 million startups that were founded. This proves that the America is the land of opportunity, you just have to go for it. No matter who you are, you still have to work hard in order to live your American Dream, some people might need to work harder: " It's not impossible for groups to achieve the American dream, but you will have to work harder." Just because you are going to need to put in more work, does not mean it is impossible.
