They wanted a simple, pure life in their new home, and they brought their religion with them. However, fear of witches, impure humans who worked for the devil, in the town of Salem grew to such a humongous scale that people left and right were being accused. All that was needed was a name, and the so-called witch would be arrested for months, and sometimes executed.
