  • Spanish  didn’t take any responsibility for what happened to the Maine.
  • This also started to get people worked up to start a campaign to go to war to get revenge on the Spanish.

  • Helped war by running News papers that got over 20 Million reads, while in the news paper company he had over 20 Million reads for each. He then stated that it was Spain’s fault that the U.S.S Maine Exploded. He also started the campaign to go to war which pressured the president to do somthing.
