In yesterday's lesson, We learned a lot about the gender discrimination.I was really impressed by the artistic product--“Dinner party”，and it makes me feel excited that I can see the develop for women.I can see their steps towards freedom getting lighter. And this artistic product make people aware of the awakening of women,It was exactly what I had been hoping for.So that I tried to find some information about the gender discrimination. However, some painful statistics show that the world is still unfair to women.Workplace sexism and sexual harassment are still widespread. There are also many people who believe that women should stay at home and be housewives instead of showing their talents. These things all make me indignation, and I'm sure that the world will become more colourful when women become more free.In conclusion，I will learn more meaningful content in the following courses.

There is a big thing happened in 2021.Western countries have accused China of human rights abuses against ethnic minorities such as the Uighurs in the Xinjiang region, prompting some international brands to withdraw their cooperation with Xinjiang cotton.China has shown strong evidence that this is a big lie.Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying also said that the issue itself to slander and slander China is extremely wrong.Hua responded with two photos of black slaves being forced to pick cotton fields in the United States and the scene of mechanized picking of more than 70 percent of cotton fields in Xinjiang, China. After researched some informations, I found that Xinjiang cotton has already used high-tech independent sowing and harvesting. At that time, I also actively supported the brands that used Xinjiang cotton and resisted the brands that boycotted Xinjiang cotton.

Among these two artists, one is a great woman, whose works mostly commemorate those innocent people who were sacrificed or injured because of the revolution. She longs for peace and believes that her country will surely rise from the ashes like a phoenix. The other is an unrestrained artist, who creates some seemingly simple works to reflect some social or environmental issues with a strange style. It makes it easy for people to be drawn to the past. The works of both artists is very positive and I can feel a lot of energy from the works.Hayat Nazer used many recycle materials to created these artworks that reminds me of the previous project on sustainability. So that,I chose to delve into this artist. And the other artist Eliason is a man with a very magnificent style. This style is very attractive to me, because I am also a person full of imagination, and his works are very dreamy, which makes me excited.
The first artwork is created by Eliason,he retrieve bits of ice from Nuup Kangerlua fjord in Greenland that were originally part of the Greenland ice sheet, only to be broken by warming. It is hoped that through personal experience, people will perceive that the ice is very fragile and realize the impact of current climate change on the environment.
And the other artwork is created by Hayat Nazer,She made beautiful sculptures out of the broken things produced by the revolution to express her desire for peace. The sculpture I chose was inspired by the devastation she saw after the bombing. The image of the sculpture is a woman holding a torch that full of her hopes for the future of her city, like a phoenix reborn from nirvana.
Both of the two artworks I admire very much.I believe that they will create more artworks to make people aware of the issues which are a threat to our world.
Bibliography
Olafur , E.

I chose two songs about the activism,The Seed and Zombie. The Seed is focuses on the environment pollution whereas Zombie is focuses on the war. Both of them show the pain of this issues.
The first song is The seed, not only just literally, but also about these natural resources that gave birth to us as human beings.Aurora used her ethereal voice to praise the magic of the world, while accusing people of turning a blind eye to environmental damage. Her figure may look thin, but her voice is penetrating and powerful. She accused capitalists of destroying the environment in order to make money, which moved me deeply. She used a lot of chanting in the second half, making the whole song seems more sacred, as if it was the condemnation of the god.
The second song, Zombies, was written by the Cranberries in response to the Irish attacks on the UK, which caused explosions that killed several children and injured dozens of others. One thing the two singers in common is that their voices are ethereal，however, they are powerful because of their feelings about these things. As this song, Dorothy changed her old ethereal singing voice and shouted loudly and forcefully to accuse them of their atrocities. She used a lot of angry singing in the chorus to express her indignation. She wants people to see the innocent people who died in the war and stop killing each other. Her song is a passionate plea for peace.
The seed is an admonition, in contrast zombie is more of an indictment. But they all focuses on the serious issues in the would and they took strong actions.
Bibliography:
Aurora, A.

"who says" is my favorite song which gave me a great boost when I was feeling down. This song was created by Selena Gomez to against the cyber violence and critics such as Nardine Saad of the Los Angeles Times inferred this as firing back at the hate received after she started dating Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber earlier in the year. Most of times, they don't see themselves as being violent, but violence is when the gossip of thousands of people gathers on one person.Just as the lyrics of this song , we should resist verbal violence and at the same time we should be more strong. Convinced that we are the most beautiful and charming existence and to do the best version of ourselves. The song uses a passionate tone and gave me an uplifting power. So that,I recommend this song to everyone and I hope that everyone could become stronger as the lyrics of the song!
Bibliography:
Selena, G.

The reason why I chose this photo I took last week is that when I saw this painting at first time I immediately thought of this picture of me.Because their composition is too similar,It is a kind of near large and far small composition. Then I tried to find out more about their connection.i realize that both of the colors they ptesented are warm colors where there is light, and cold colors behind the light and shadow which form a strong contrast.I found out they are different in that Edward Hopper's painting looks very narrow but my photo looks very expansive. His painting let me feel nervous and sad, whereas,my photo make me feel comfortable and relaxed.Accord to researched some information about the painting,I gradually realized that he created this painting was a silent protest aim at the Pearl Harbor explosion. He focused on the social issue which about his country.I was awestruck by this because my work is merely a record of beauty. So that, art is not only a beauty to catch people's eyes, but also a good medium to let people aware of the social or political issues.

The first time I saw Tania Bruguera's artworks I was very confused.Through these few videos and pictures, I can't understand what her art is.I just saw a few policemen on horseback directing audiences and a bunch of people lying on the ground and I didn't know what they do.Through the interview, I learned that these mounted police officers were exactly the art she was demonstrating. She did not tell people in advance that the police were art, so that people could be more immersed in the issues she wanted to express. She wants to show that powerful people have an unconscious desire to control the masses, and she wants people to be aware of it and think about it deeply. This interactive art made me feel particularly uncomfortable because of the feeling of being pushed around. The other artwork is a large portrait which must be made visible by the heat of the body and next to it is a small room full of compounds that will make people want to cry.The artwork aims to force visitors to produce involuntary physiological reactions of tears through special installations, stimulate group emotional resonance among tourists, and inspire people to think about the current immigration crisis.I think its very fantastic and I really want to see it and be a part of it.

Accord to the video which is JR's speech talk about the artworks by himself,I found that he is not only a street artist, but also an excellent representative of activism.JR created "Art for all." He brought art to the poorest regions of the world - the slums of Paris, the walls of the Middle East, the broken Bridges of Africa, the shantytowns of Brazil. People who live there tend to think that many things, including art, don't need to exist. He incorporated the people there into his art and made the world notice them.JR put a huge portrait of young people from the Paris suburbs on display in their own town under the name "28 mm" and got a huge response. So that,I think his activism is effective because he always catches people's eyes with something really big.Furthermore,He focuses on social and political issues, and as he describes it, he may not change the world with art but he can make a positive impact on people. He did his best to bring the cultures of the world together and that really touched me.

My hometown Xinyang is a small city in the Central Plains of China.Although it is not well-known, but we have a special product is very famous. It is one of the top ten famous teas in China, Xinyang Maojian. And our environment here is particularly good, and we have been rated as one of the top ten livable cities. So that, I'm proud of my city.Talk a few words about my city then we look at this picture，We can say that the old one looks very poor and uninhabitable and We can see an old man just riding a broken tricycle And the road is very irregular. The surrounding buildings were very cluttered.Everywhere revealed a feeling of no life force. Then we can see the second picture，tall buildings and spacious streets are the main body of the picture. If we look closely, we can see many kinds of vehicles on the busy streets. It can be seen that many years ago, the problems facing my city were economic and construction problems. We can also see from the second set of pictures that my city was very backward at that time, and the only means of transportation was the tricycle. It can be seen that economy is the lifeblood of a city.In the last century, people paid attention to economic development, but nowadays, people are troubled by environmental problems.People want to improve their quality of life, whereas, They ignore the harm of economic development to the environment. Our government is very active in expanding the green area in our city,I am very agree with this action.Because of these greening, a lot of polluting gases are absorbed, which can slow down the environmental damage. In conclusion, my hometown is a fantastic city!

Today is a day which full of the videos. There were many artists to show all kinds of art.Such as performance art, Interaction art and so on.I was impressed by the Performance by Marina Abramowicz. She tried to challenge humanity, but the result almost broke her. It's also where I see human nature doesn't stand up to scrutiny. That is a fantastic performance,In spite of the confusion with her performance. But I think her attempt is great and extremely challenging. And the other artwork is created by Eliason who is a famous artist I interested in.It's a huge interaction artwork which consists of 12 large blocks of ice.It not only allows people to see such a huge artwork, but also allows people to feel the disappearance of the ice every moment. He makes clever use of the artwork to draw more people attention to the greenhouse effect. And I remembered that the performance art named painting and sky.It moved me very much，These artwork want people to share their memory about the happy ,sad ,tear, angry or another feeling to create their own artwork.Maybe this work wants to say that People need to find themselves sometimes.I am happy that I was able to recognize so many artists in the class and I would definitely learn more about their stories if I had time.
Bibliography:
Cunningham, John M.. Then everyone can use this microphone speak or sing a few sentences. Finally, the collected voices will be composed into a song called Voice for Yourself. This is just a prototype of my idea，But I think it's a fantastic idea, and I'll also be perfecting it more this weekend.

(Bengoechea,2016) He created huge murals want to darw more people attention to their culture which destroyed by the war.He didn't change the world directly, but he changed people's perceptions. On the other hand，Many artists created something practical to change the world. These artworks helped a lot of people in trouble. As far as I know, the little sun use the solar energy to provide energy to areas where do not have continuous access to the grid.(Eliason,2020) At the same time, the popularity of the little sun has also improved the education of many poor areas to a certain extent. In conclusion, one thing the two artworks have in common is that they want to connect people's minds through art. Then they can change the world indirectly or directly.

I have an idea in my mind.I want to build a small glass house like a greenhouse in the square, and then put a microphone and a small tape recorder inside,Because I want people involved in my project, and post many "come in" notes covering the whole glass to catch people's eyes. And I decided to print the words "Just for yourself" on the floor of the greenhouse. When people come in, Maybe they Don t know what they should to do but they can do what they want to do right now.I wanted this house to be a mirror on one side and frosted glass on the rest. When we enter, we can see ourselves in the mirror and the 'just for you'note on the floor,We can dimly see the people hurrying around us, but they can't see us.People can use the microphone to express themselves, enjoy and relax in it.I mean they can be completely themselves at that time. The reson why i decided this design is that this kind of pressure is faced by all of women today. So that,I think they will be happy to participate in this project. And I would like to placed it on the school lawn.,,Because I think the green environment will make people feel comfortable, And it will make they have a sense of security. If you want to participate in my project, you can also give me some suggestions.
