"Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!" (Henry David Thoreau). - Walden, "Where I Lived and What I Lived For"

All one needs in life is confidence within oneself, undistracted by otherworldly matters of irrelevance to their overall individuality, and a life of simplicity that must seek to attain their true potential which is the mindset exemplified within the isolation in this photo.

In my afternoon walk I would fain forget all my morning occupations and my obligations to Society. But it sometimes happens that I cannot easily shake off the village. The thought of some work will run in my head and I am not where my body is—I am out of my senses" (Henry David Thoreau). - "Walking"

The cloudiness within this forest exemplifies the distractions and stress experienced by one throughout their lives, even in settings of self-reflection, tranquility, and simplicity as Thoreau experiences through his walk without feeling the spirit within the woods.

Then, there is a kind of contempt of the landscape felt by him who has just lost by death a dear friend. The sky is less grand as it shuts down over less worth in the population" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). - "Nature"

This picture highlights the quote's line of reasoning as people can be in the most tranquil and peaceful settings or even experience something that helps them embrace individuality and simplicity yet be affected by the distractions and pressures of society when they are irrelevant to them, unlike the death of a close one.

The main philosophical ideology of the contribution of one's own verse and impact upon the world within "O Me! O Life" is a goal that Whitman emphasizes is set for all of humanity and each individual person must capitalize upon the true flower of life, existence. Existence is enough to impulse every person through life and the obstacles and struggles brought upon them, and even if they fail they must continue with the sole purpose of contributing their own, unique verse of passion. Being lazy and letting go of time is a misinterpretation and misuse of the role of being human. One will never realize their true passion or attain the truth of their individuality and personality until they pursue the journey to find this passion. Once this passion is found, all distractions and challenges must be experienced in order for a person to have the true contribution of their verse upon the world that is composed of all their experiences both struggles and success and not leave for any wasted potential.

As I write my own poem in this journey of my life, my verse within that poem will be to help the sick and those in need of medical treatment, something that I have already been in pursuit of through volunteering at Sharp Hospital and helping patients there. I can write this verse if I accomplish becoming a dentist and value each and every one of my experiences along my journey to getting to that point and not letting anyone interfere with this passion that I have for helping those around me. Within my community, I will not only be able to help those in need of medical care but also contribute to my community through donations to those in need and also within my church where I am already making progress in becoming an integral part of it as a reader deacon. I hope that while writing this verse, I am able to employ my experiences in educating those around me such as the youth of my community, and also set an example for my family and the people within my community that life and both the parts of succeeding and failing within it should hold significance for them and their own verses in life as it has for me. I hope that through my career and relationships with those around me, I am able to encourage a mindset of perseverance and pursuit of passion that will resonate with all those around me and leave a reputation and legacy of inspiration for those to leave their own verses as I hope to leave mine of helping those in need with medicinal and financial help as well as worthy advice.

Thesis: Transcendentalist tenets teach people to model themselves after nature by personifying nature with wisdom of holding the truth regarding realities of each person’s journey in life that allows them to attain a state of simplicity in reflection of this fresh perspective of insight and therefore they are able to rely on themselves to pursue their passion. In the process of allowing the purity of nature to control one’s life, they will contribute to society by helping others and embodying an example for people to follow the same path on the pursuit of individualism.

This picture relates to a Transcendental society in which all people pursue their own individual paths in life, in this case, forms of yoga having their own reflections upon society within the purity of nature just like they are pure within their individualism while still being in unity and working for the overall well-being of society.

Significant Quotes:
"The eye is the best of aristis" (Emerson). - "Beauty"
"The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child" (Emerson). - "Nature"
"The power which resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried" (Emerson) - "Self-Reliance"
"Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist" (Emerson) - "Self-Reliance"
“A man is relieved and gay when he has put his heart into his work and done his best; but what he has said or done otherwise, shall give him no peace" (Emerson) - "Self-Reliance"
" Let your life be a counter-friction to stop the machine" (Thoreau) - "Civil Disobedience"
