I love to go on adventures; hiking, planes, kayaking, travelling in any shape, way or form. Not all people in this class will feel similarly, because not everyone holds a status as an adventurer.

I identify as a Christian, meaning I attend church, and I am a follower of Jesus. Not everyone in the class will have this same view as me. Some may have a religion, others may not.

My family was a huge agent of socialization that got me involved in the church. I learnt what being a Christian looked like through watching and listening to my parents, and as I got older, through listening to friends and mentors. Throughout my childhood I was involved in all sorts of aquatic sports; water polo, competitive diving, swim club - you name it, I played it. When I got older, I wanted to be a lifeguard since its what all my teammates were doing. Agents of Socialization: peers, family, and school.

Role Conflict:
It can be difficult to manage time between school and work. Sometimes I'll work 20 hours a week, in addition to taking a full course load and it can be very stressful and make it hard to be at my best for both.

Role Strain:
I'm taking a full course load this semester, and some weeks it is very difficult when I have a test on the same day as an assignment, or an overload of reading. I have always loved to write, but my status as a writer developed through school when my work was often shown to the class, our I write for a newspaper. Within my family I was always the artsy and creative one, which shaped my love for writing.
