The children discuss the different ways that they will celebrate the holiday, making breakfast, snuggling, and various other ways. Anne deals with the difficulties of the holday with a student who was celebrating with her grandmother as her mother had passed away.

The children were asked to bring in a button for class. The children used the button to make a tissue paper flower as a gift. The book gives step by step directions.
