•I have been to university twice in the past, having studied for three and a half years at WAAPA doing Classical Saxophone, and six months of a Bachelor of 
 Chemistry at Murdoch University. 

•Alongside my studies, I manage a 
 restaurant in Midland and enjoy 
 fantasy and journalistic writing in 
 my free time.

•This area will be known as the “New Beginnings Community”, and will feature several services, such as multiple micro-living areas for those who need it, dining and recreational areas, and laundry services.

•The backbone of this new development will be its volunteer workers, alongside government assistance.

•This will include candid interviews with people living on the streets, as well as an exposé on the government’s plans to help support and develop the new community project. 

Within and following the article will be references to the project, as well as contact and service information for the general public.

■ Studying Bachelors of Arts (Creative Writing Major)

■ Interested in writing long fiction. Hope to pursue work as a novelist or a similar role in the writing industry.

■ As a creative writing student I have experience with sensitive word choice and persuasive writing which will aid me in my mission to acquire land from the local government.

■ Be an active participant in the group and communicate with my team members.

■ Facilitate a face to face meeting with local official to procure land for our project.

■ Assist surveyors with scouting potential sites to ensure appropriate land is procured for project.

■ By obtaining government assistance our project is mitigating the financial cost of implementing such an expansive operation.

■ I will be acting as a pseudo government liaison, by making first contact with the local MP in an effort to recruit their support.

•I graduated from Warnbro Community High School. Where I spent the first three years in a Creative Arts Specialist Program (CASP) and the last two years of schooling specialising in art ATAR courses.

•Alongside my studies, I work a part time job, so team management and working as a crew are skills I excel at.

•I do photography as a hobby here and there. Photographing for my dads website as well. 

•Earlier on I sort out to be an Architect, and strived towards that, so a background in building planning I also hold.

•Sourcing abandoned buildings and altering their layout is another element that may be deemed useful from myself. 

•As well as focusing on the town planning area, as I feel that with my background in Architecture would bring a strong contributive element. 

•This would include planning building structures and facilities. Units, showers and places to eat would need to be planned and organsied to fit within certain boundaries. 

•I feel is an aspect I would be able to bring towards this project.

•low cost, high quantity living. 

•Basic layout with all the amenities, electricity, water, gas. A bedroom etc.

•Small rooms allow for a higher number of residence within each house/units

•A congregation of housing units. Allows for a more tight linked community, builds trust amongst others. Improves quality of life. 

•This would entice and provide livable environmental condition for the homeless, as well as providing suitable locations for showing and eating within close proximity to one another. 

•Including op-shops, cafes, barber shops etc. allow the homeless to gain experience within the work force, to become apart of the community. 

• One, a town plan/layout consisting of units or duplexes, op-shops, cafes, barber shops etc. all within reasonable walking distance. 

•Two, Repurposing an abandoned building within the region of East Perth or surrounding suburbs. Consisting of facilities such as showers, beds, toilets and eating quarters. 

•Through the use of a Graphic Design element of my major, I would create a presentation and resolved layout of all the aspects of each proposed ideas. 

•Example of unit complexes around my suburb.

•Tightly packed but still allowed for privacy.

•By aligning theses homes in a linear formation it allowed for cost affective construction as well as providing a suitable and sustainable living environment.

•Journalism & Digital Design Stream

•Presenting a radio play- skills learnt in journalism help with this; as radio is also used for advertisement, I can use current trends learnt in Digital Design.

•I have a passion for music and film, if I’m not listening to new albums or dissecting movies (Netflix Binging), I’ll be a gigs or working for money to fund this

•Radio reaches 10.3 Million people across Australia (Commercial Radio Australia)

•This can help gain public interest about our group & also help in promoting our events, website, donation lines etc.

•Many homeless people frowned upon, this can 180 that opinion and show people they aren’t a ‘nuisance’

•Largely rejected in both recent electoral campaign, made out to be smaller issue than it is 

•With radios reach, we can raise enough awareness about the issue and awareness about our organization that our events will have large audiences, making the final goal a lot easier.

•It will be written in a serious tone to hammer in the issue.

•I am planning to include the story of a homeless person and how the governments treatment has affected them. This will then be supported with facts, finishing with promoting our cause and how people can get involved.

•This one covers smoking, but you can see the areas where they introduce the issue (first highlighted part), talk about it, then tell the public what they can do (bottom highlighted part)

•I would like my one to be longer than this and also involve discussion to keep the listeners interested, but other than that it would follow this format.

•Currently employed at Bunnings Warehouse in Mindarie

•Passionate about photography, art, film and the outdoors

•Recruit a small media team to photograph and interview individuals, and maintain social media presence. Gallery will be organised with help of the City of Perth at a city run gallery.
