The speaker talks about habituation and risk escalation in teenagers. The main point the speaker is trying to make is how teenagers with underdeveloped brains are prone to risk-taking behaviors which can change their brains physically. The speaker's research showed that teenagers were cautious and they had self control at first when they answered the questions on the simulation but as time went on and they became more exposed to the risks, their cautiousness started to drop. They became more interested in seeking risk-taking behaviors which led to making harmful choices. I agree with the speaker's point of view because if a person is more and more exposed to risk-taking behaviors, that person one day would definitely want to try it instead of refusing to it. They would easily be influenced to do so.

The main point the speaker is trying to make is that teens take more risks than adults and a prone to risk taking. Teens habituation also affects their risk taking as well. In the research that was conducted the more risks a teen started taking the more risks they were going to take in the future. Teen brains are also undeveloped which also plays a part in risk taking.

The main point the speaker is trying to make is the escalation of risk-taking in teens. She talks about how even though teens have more developed brains than kids, they take more risks and lack self control for important decisions. She talks about how habituation can physically change a teen's brain.

I think the main point the speaker is trying to make is that teenagers has a higher chance to keep taking risks because of their brains still being in the process of maturations which causes them to being bad at decision making which can cause them to take risks. Habituation to risk-taking can change the teenagers brains. I would agree with her point of view because I think there were statistics that a lot of teenagers were taking risks and that they could develop an addiction to it which causes them to keep doing it.

The main point the speaker is trying to make is that hibituation to risk taking is greater than in teens and adults and its most likely teens would repeat these unhealthy risk behaviors.I agree with her point because kids my age don't really listen and like experimenting.

The speaker is trying to emphasize that habituation is something that teens cannot control. Many adults believe that teens keep doing illicict activities out of their own accord, but they do not most of the time. The speaker introduces habituation which is the need to do something, and makes the brain used to doing that thing. It makes it so that teens keep doing addictive substances, and they cannot stop because their brains see it as normal. She also talks about risk escalation, which is something that describes how, sometimes to help with addiction, a teen can need higher permission to take higher risk taking behaivors.

It is even considered habitual for some. However, we cannot overlook the consequences and must find a solution.

My overall reactions to this talk are fascinated and surprised since this high school student with barely any resources managed to conduct an experiment like this. She used her own money to conduct her experiment and turned her school library into a lab. I was inspired by this since many teens would not do something like this and spend so much time creating a experiment as remarkable as this.

It proves wrong all adults that believed that teens are just rebellious when asked not to do something, and can make it so that they actually try to help. This makes me reassesss my behaivors and choices by doing things that I do almost everyday, less. This is because it does not necessarily harm me, however I can benefit from doing it less so my brain does not believe that I need to do it everyday.
