You are a public relations officer at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colorado. You read a recent study by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that said “despite dramatic progress cleaning the air since 1970, air pollution in the United States continues to harm people’s health and the environment” (EPA, 2018, para. 1). Given the rate of increase in chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), you have decided to create disease-specific public service announcements (PSA) that discuss how people suffering from respiratory diseases are impacted by the poor air-quality affecting populations across the United States.

Your job: create a PSA looking at ONE of the following chronic respiratory diseases that addresses (1) how this disease affects respiratory function and (2) how poor air quality would impact this disease.
