         <description><![CDATA[<p>Women's fashion was key to their role in society. Depending on where the woman was in her life, she would show more or less skin.  Having a long and slender body was considered beautiful, so women wore tight corsets and long expanded skirts to give the appearance of being tall and thin. However extravagant her dress was an indicator of how wealthy she was. </p>]]></description>

As an example, yellow began as a new and hip color, but as peasants received hand-me-downs, it's value decreased. The more vibrant your clothing, the wealthier you were. </p>]]></description>
