⤷ doyeon was born to a young mother, hwang nayoung. life was rough for the both of them but her mom tried everything in her power to give a life they both deserved. despite this, however, money was still tight, and they were still living within a tiny apartment within the shady parts of seoul.

on the evening of doyeon's first birthday, nayoung made the hardest decision she had. give doyeon up for adoption. the sleeping babe beside her had the most peaceful expression, and she didn't have the heart to keep her in this kind of living situation for the rest of teenage years. with teary eyes, she kissed her forehead, whispering, "i'm sorry, doyeon. you, my child, are destined for great things."

after making arrangements, nayoung had brought doyeon to the adoption center and with teary eyes, hugged her daughter goodbye and never looked back. and that was the last time doyeon had ever seen her mother.

⤷ bouncing from different foster cares for two years, doyeon finally had found some stability when a man named frederik kim adopted her.

frederik was the owner of precision financials, an accounting firm based within seoul and has reached international shores, and f.k holdings, a property company that offers the most prestigious and high-end condominiums and apartments within south korea.

once everything was in order, frederik then moved to new york with doyeon and her new life of lavishness started.

frederik was smitten with his new daughter, giving her everything she could have ever wanted and more. a whole lot more.

doyeon was eight when she first expressed her interest in modelling, which frederik was quick to pick it up. he pulled all the strings he can and exposed her to the field of fashion, which enabled doyeon's love for the runway even more. he looked at her walking down the hallway clad in a blanket dress she had wrapped around her body and said, "you, my child, bring our name to greatness when you stride through the runway."

with this, however, doyeon's relationship with her father also started to wither. with his busy schedule, he started to neglect her and her emotional needs, often leaving her to the care of her nannies and driver, making her resent him.
