It only takes one person to break the link of eternal families. That's a little daunting to think about.
- Don't allow yourself to become the weak link
My patriarchal blessing actually talks about being a strength in the family. A good reason to stay strong.
- Doubt not, fear not
- Look up when faced with challenges
- If you leave, where will you go, where will you walk? MANY consequences.
- May we ever choose the harder right, instead of the harder wrong.
- There are so many things that make it hard to look up. Esp when the people around you aren't totally on board with the Gospel.

- Don't expect fireworks because you listened to the Holy Ghost
- We should be spiritual first responders - but we don't need flashing lights~

- Simple habits of belief grow into more and allow us to become rooted in Christ, which then provides strength
- Simple actions help to improve our lives, but because they're so simple we don't believe.
This is like in Moses' time when they wouldn't look up at the staff
- Getting the little daily habits of faith right helps armor us against the problems of the world
- We would do big things if asked, why not do the small things then?

- Where did we come from, Why are we here, Where are we going --> All answered in the Plan of Salvation.
It's amazing how so much of the gospel and our happiness is answered with the Plan of Salvation. I wish, growing up, I'd paid more attention to the endless lessons about it.
- Above, beyond, behind ALL is God the Eternal Father
- One of the purposes of Jesus' ministry is to reveal what God is like, and to reveal the true nature of God
- Jesus speaks as "The Father and the Son"
- "Essential to the plan of salvation is our Savior Jesus Christ. Without his atoning sacrifice all would be lost. IT is not enough to merely believe ... we must... work... we need to know God's laws and receive him. We need to receive his saving ordinances'

- Fear can have an important influence on our behavior - but it is usually temporary and doesn't change our hearts
- The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, long suffering, temperance etc. (Not anger/fear)
- God motivates though gentle ways. He IS on our side and loves us. Fear isn't his way.
Makes me think of Lamen and Lemuel, how they saw angels and such but never changed.
- God doesn't want us to be fearful. He gave us POWER and an abundance of reasons to Rejoice
- Never look down on another religion or group of people. --> connection to Choi's talk about Looking Up.
- Christ replaces Fear with Faith
