Reflection of Grade 10 year

Grade 10 year has passed so quickly. I never imagined that how fast this year was! For me, the most challenging and unforgettable thing is how I get used to the completely new environment. AP center is very different from the traditional Chinese education system. When I was in Junior school, I’ve always been a very good listener. I rarely spoken in class because I was afraid to make mistakes and being mocked by my classmates. However, after I came to AP, things began to change. Under specific circumstances, we had to form a group, allocate the work, organize things together and eventually present to the whole class. Originally, I felt very stressful when I heard from the teacher that we had to do group project or presentation, but the reality was that we had to face the difficulties and discomfort. Therefore, after so many practices, I completely changed my former attitude. Presentation and group project can help us to learn to communicate and collaborate with others. Also, they provide us good opportunity to practice public speaking skills. What’s more, I have mentioned before that AP center is a very new studying environment. It was amazing but also a little bit scary that teachers used English to teach academic subjects, so that it was a very big challenge for me because I have never done that before! Our teachers in AP center were extremely nice, they tried to slow down and taught us very patiently so that it was relatively easy for us to keep us with the contents.

Generally speaking, I’ve spent a splendid year in AP center and I am also looking forward for a sophomore student!
