As Earth spins, different areas pass through these bulges, experiencing high tides, and the areas between the bulges, which have low water levels, experience low tides.</p><p><br></p><p>How does it affect the River?</p><p><br></p><p>The moon is massive; therefore, its gravitational pull affects bodies of water during certain moon phases (moon cycles), which affects the tide.</p><p><br></p><p>How does it affect the Earth's oceans?</p><p><br></p><p> if the moon is close to the Earth.
