He's the leader of the group of children and he's a kind and wise guy. From his expression (in the picture) you can see his determination to create an ordered society on the island, but also his concern for the condition of the children, lost on a desert island.

(I'm not so good in drawing, so I've used the photo of a childhood friend that I've known to the sea. Anyway, I hope you will like it!)

This is my personal idea of Leonard Bankhead, one of the character of "The Marriage Plot". 
He's clever and he looks like attractive. He has had a complicated childhood and now he suffers of manic depression but after all he is the most fascinating character. 
What I love most of him, is the unpredictability of his actions and choices.

This is my work for the book. I've decided to represent Sybil Vane. She's the young lady with whom Dorian fells in love. She's an actress and performs in a little and old theatre. And is in this theatre that Dorian sees her for the first time and fells in love. 
He admires her beauty and cleverness in acting. When Sybil fells in love with him, she suddenly becomes bad at acting, claiming the love she feels for Dorian absorbs her completely. And it's at this point that Dorian leaves her. 
He fell in love just with what he thought she was, not with what she really was. And I think this topic is one of the main in the book. 
This decision destroys Sybil, leading her to commit suicide. 
To represent her, I've made a collage with some models, as their scope is to represent the appereance of a woman; just like Sybil interprets different characters, never revealing herself. The little twig means her youth and the coins her poverty. The two necklaces are the poor yewellery she had.
