The conch idea worked because I️t was easier for one person to speak at a time. Their leader that they voted for also worked. However when I️t came to each person or group pulling their weight, some did not do what they were supposed to do. For example, the group that was supposed to be building shelters did not do what they were asked to do.</div>]]></description>

I would also use the idea of splitting up into groups so a group of people can complete many tacks. Another thing that changed was Jack's ideas of rules for the group. While safety was at first the number one priority, the most important thing later became hunting and violence.
