The concept of growth mindset consists of believing that abilities can grow and get better by practicing, working hard an being willing to fail. It also believes that intelligence can be learned and developed. Growth mindset drives people to face more challenges, to innovate, to learn thru mistakes, feel motivated by others success rather than feeling jealous or threatened. Psychologist Carol Dweck researched this concept 30 years ago and she explains how this concept can also be used with students and have a positive outcome.

Growth mindset can be a good approach in classrooms since students would view challenges and mistakes as a way of getting close to their goals rather than feeling overwhelmed or as a failure when not achieving their ideal grades.

Some ways to practice this in EFL classrooms is:

*Praising their process and work when learning new concepts, praise their perseverance when learning how to pronounce or write new words.

* Letting students know it is okay to make mistakes when learning the new language, this would encourage them to participate more during class without feeling embarrassed to fail. This will help them learn and take risks.

Stereotypes are generalized beliefs or ideas about different groups of people. These can be based on race, nationality, gender, religion, etc. Normally this beliefs are exaggerated assumptions that don't consider individual differences within the groups. Stereotypes can be reputations passed on by society, parents or the mass media. Neutral and good stereotypes also exist. An example of stereotypes of trans people is the movie "The adventures of Priscilla queen of the dessert", this movies gives us some examples of stereotypes that people of the LGBTQ+ community face.

Some ways to understand and provide a more fair view of stereotypes to use with students are:

*Use inclusive language during classes.

*Create some class rules that provides a safe and welcoming environment for all students.

*Star debates or conversations about stereotypes that gives students a more open minded view about this topic.

Intercultural awareness refers to understanding cultural similarities and differences between other cultures and our own. Being interested and sensitive about other cultures beliefs or values and also be willing to learn about other cultures. Interacting and communicating with people from a different culture plays a big role in this concept because it gives the ability to get new knowledge about their culture and also helps to resolve any conflict simply by comprehending the differences within cultures.

Some ways to apply this concept in classrooms are:

*Letting students share their own cultural traditions, this practice lets them learn about other cultures while also practicing English.

*Giving students projects or homework related to different cultures this gives them the opportunity to research and learn either about their own culture or others.
